Honoring a Floral Legacy in Quincy

On a bittersweet morning, Councillor Richard Ash had the honor of recognizing Scott Quint, owner of Quint’s House of Flowers, as he officially retires. Scott is the fourth-generation owner of this beloved local institution, originally founded by his great-grandparents in 1919. For over a century—105 years—Quint’s has served Quincy with heart, creativity, and an unwavering commitment to community. Richard presented Scott with a token of appreciation from the City Council to celebrate not only his dedication, but the legacy of his family’s contributions to the city’s small business fabric. While it’s sad to see this iconic shop close its doors, Richard and the community wish Scott joy and fulfillment in the next chapter of his life.
